there is no sense in how BGA set up this tournament https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=545281
6 out of 16 first round winners got eliminated without having not-won a game, despite the fact that 16 is a perfect number to set up a semifinal of 4 4p games. please support my bug report. there is no way that this behaviour is acceptable. https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=219148

I would favor if there was a tournament simulator that allows to forsee how tournaments with certain settings and player counts would be set up each round

This is indeed a very obscure bug. I have never heard about multi-elimination being so broken. I hope they fix this soon, I mean this is a big bug, not a niche one.

It could have to do with the recently introduced "Serpentine" feature you used. I mean, it's perfectly reasonable that you used it but it could be that the bug only happens in that setting (or at least was introduced with that recent change).

A tournament simulator would be nice but ideally, things just work.

Till now, I thought it would be about how I am trying to exploit group stage to influence matchmaking. But yes, serpentine could also be a factor

Even if they work, it would often be much better to also know HOW they work
