You might have noticed new formats available on BGA today (20th of May 2026).

You can find all the details in this article from Re:Union.

If you want to see custom decks you are going to need to create a Re:Union account on https://altered.re/ and link it to BGA . Then you can either import your decks from altered.gg to the new deckbuilders from the community or create new decks there.

Feel free to join the Re:Union discord or post here if you have any questions about the new formats.

Amazing to get a full-sets deck builder and ability to use them on BGA. Really happy to see the game able to continue after the end of support.

I see that the pre-built deck format has gone, but is there anywhere we can find/add the pre-built decks to our Re:Union accounts? Just as a place to get started from for those (like me) who generally find themselves to be fairly incompetent deck-builders.

We've launched 27 new starter decks to help you try out each hero — you should find them on BGA whenever you start a game in any Standard Format.

There is also a beginner mode that will only match you against these decks if you'd like a more comfortable start.

I'll look into how to import the previous pre-built decks into our community deck database.

If at all possible, I would suggest renaming this mode as "Pre-built" or "Pre-Constructed" rather than beginner, and see if the 'This option is recommended only for beginners on their first game' can be removed.

Pre-Constructed is a totally reasonable way to play the game for a long time, it's why Altered and MTG sell preconstructed decks in the first place, it gets people into the game and up and running quickly. Labelling it as 'first game only' seems a bit harsh, and not a good way to encourage people to continue to play.

Great feedback — we'll definitely remove the "This option is recommended only for beginners on their first game" disclaimer, as it does send the wrong message.

As for the name, we're open to changing it too, but "Pre-constructed" might not be the most intuitive term for everyone — especially players coming from a board game background who may not be familiar with TCG terminology. We want to find something that feels accessible to all players, so we'll think it through carefully.
