Sometimes when I am waiting for a new game, I will open a new tab on the forum.

When the game matches, the game show up will interrupt the forum post, then redirect the game away.

This is very annoying! The forum is for reading, a forum is not a game client!

Is there a way to disable this behavior?

Is there anything I can do about this other than upvoting the bug and waiting 5 years?

I don't think it's a bug. They want you to be informed that a game has been found, no matter where you are on the site.
