See updates on X?

When the site is down for maintenance they refer to check updates on X. The last post was in 2022...

The problem is you need an account there in order to be able to see the posts. Otherwise it just shows you a seemingly random old one.

Yeah, that is a problem...if there are updates, non-X users can't see them.

Suggestion: can BGA maintain an account on another platform, like Bluesky, and cross-post?

I mean, I don't think being able to see the updates would help anyway. When the site goes down, no one really knows how long it'll take.

That's not true, often you get to a point in diagnosis where you can estimate the time to a fix (and I would assume that when an ETA is given it's usually on the conservative side). Also, you can provide updates about when the next update will be provided, so people know how long to give you before coming back and asking for more info.

Yes, BGA should probably cross-post with a service that doesn't require a login, but it's been suggested before, to no response. So don't hold your breath.
