About kingmaking

I know we can thumb down people for kingmaking, but as far as I can see there's no way to include the reason in the report. I have a game where three other players are continuously chatting about who should do what and where on a common map, pretty clearly playing together despite it being a competitive game. I thumbed down all three of them, but I'm guessing they've been doing this in several matches where they met, and from what I can see nothing is happening, their accounts are at 100% karma with no other limitations. It's frustrating to play a long game where you know all others are colluding. Also frustrating to see some of these players in the top places of Arena mode for that game.

Do you not see a button that says "This player is Kingmaking / engaging in team play"?

Yes, I do. As I said, I thumbed all three players down using that, nothing happens. And it doesn't give you an option to include evidence or even a message like "see in game chat". Even if they are obviously playing "together" BGA seems to rely on enough people reporting them to potentially take action... And given that this is Arena matchmaking, they are only occasionally playing together, and people would have to look at the chat and google translate it, thumb them down for that reason, and I'm still not sure if it makes a difference since kingmaking is difficult to prove from just in-game actions, so if mods don't look at the chat...

Aye, there's the rub. When you go to their profile to report them there is an option that says "[player] helps another player to win the game by playing as a team" and when you click it you get:
The best way to combat Kingmaking is to give the Kingmaker player a red thumb (public red thumbs). There is no use filling in a report here: please give a red thumb to the one who made the kingmaking moves.
This is BGA telling us that they don't have time to try to chase down every single accusation of kingmaking, which seems to occur in every other game of Catan (although it's not limited to Catan, of course).

I know your case is special, because there was something said in the chat that proves it! Have you tried reporting the chat instead? That would direct the mod's attention to the chat itself.

I could try reporting the chat, lets see if that works. Thanks!
