Currently all games begin with yellow. There is a predictability about the first move[s]. Maybe vary starting colour before first auction?

That would be a rule change that would have to be approved by the designer. I suspect there's some design reason it to be this way.

All games start with the player who owns the initial Yellow share. Not all games start with Yellow RR actions, because that player can own a second share.

I also suspect a game balance factor as the Yellow RR is the only one that cannot earn the special dividend.
