Moon Card

The placeholder Moon card, used to replace your communication card in your hand, is not simulated in this BGA version of the game, unlike the official tabletop rules. I wonder why this was done?

Impacts:
It would more accurately simulate the tabletop play experience.
Sometimes people forget they have their comms card in their hand - adds some chaos.
I realize in digital form, repeating a card is not an issue, however it is a difference from the original.
I think it would prepare players transitioning from BGA play, to real cardboard play.

Preference:
I would rather see a moon card in my hand.

In my opinion the moon card of the table version is more of a workaround than a benefit.
I can not remember any game on BGA, where a player forgot that they comm a card. As the display is right next to your cards anyway.

A bigger improvement would be a confirmation on cards played, which might also help with your suggestion.

Forgetting you have a card commed is not an intentional game mechanic. We don't want to bring unintended downsides from irl play into the online version for no reason.

It's Also possible to not follow suit accidentally. But the online version doesn't allow that either.
