How to think about the first move...

The first move of the first player exposes an empty board, making it a target for the second player's subsequent play.
To withstand this targeting, we choose cards like '5' or '6'.
5 (6) are not particularly high numbers and can easily be surpassed by the opponent.
Therefore, we play them in the edge columns, such as column 1 or 9.
For the opponent to secure the edge columns, they must spend cards with higher numbers than 5 (6) on these "low-value" edge columns.
In that case, we hope that the backlash will manifest in the battle on the central front, causing them to run out of high-numbered cards.
The reason for choosing 5 (6) instead of 2 or 3 is that if the opponent saves high-numbered cards for the battle in the center, they can win the edge columns.
If we were to play low-class cards like 1 or 2 in the edge columns, the opponent could win with middle-class cards like 4 or 5, so we don't reveal low-class cards.
