BGA, 1XP for winning a tournament - why even bother...?

The number of XP gained is based on the number of players in the tournament (from 1XP to 300XP when it's around 30 players I believe).

I don't see why you care about the specific XP number though. Isn't what matters that you won and got the 1st place trophy that goes with it?

One problem you may argue is that the points earned by tournament wins are measly compared to what you get with Elo and Arena achievements. So when looking at a player's total XP for a game, their success in tournaments won't be properly reflected by that number.

That still seems a minor issue though, and the way XP works is not very serious in the first place, since you can also get a lot of XP by playing the same game a thousand times, or playing a lot of different games, or reaching Elite league many times. So the total number doesn't really represent anything in particular, it's like a melting pot of many different things.
