It really slows the games down that people have to scroll through the play history to see what cards have been picked.

There should be a small display below each player that shows which cards they are holding that have already been revealed (such as when they pick a card from the display).

It's not unprecedented as Love Letter has a display that shows which cards have been played. Also, again, it's nothing that players can't access in the play history. It just takes so much longer for people to do that.

In Love Letter all cards are played in front of players on face up display and what was played is public information. Here you need to remember what people picked and discarded. It is public information at the moment when it happens, but not later. Having it in log is already advantage against physical game
