Can someone please advise me how to understand the year goal counts for the current year?
For example what does 3.5 and 2.6 mean?

Hi,
the first number shows the live score, the second the tie breaker.
In this example for Geologist for the white player the 3.5 say that he has 3 "complete sets of all terrain tiles".
The tie breaker is "player closest to completing their next set", so in this case I'd will be 5 sets of three different terrain tiles.

Yes the number behind the dot is the tiebreaker.
About the GEOLOGIST tile:
The rule text written at that Goal tile is:
"Most complete sets of all terrain tiles.
If tied: player closest to completing their next set."
I would interpret "closest to completing next set" as having 3, 2, 1, or 0 different land types among the tiles which aren't part of the complete sets of 4 land types. I now see Harry counts the number of sets of 3 land types among those remaining tiles? We will check if that's the best interpretation.
BTW: In my version 10 years ago the rule in the rulebook was:
"Who has the most of the 4 different landscape types?
In case of a tie, the tied player with the most sets of their landscapes (2 of each, 3 of each, etc.) wins."
The new edition text maybe reads easier, but in case all players have all landscape types it makes in fact an extra tiebreaker which is not so easy to see in a large tableau.

For the display specifically there was a bug where it was not showing the correct ranking.
The actual tiebreaker is well explained by the notification.
Sets of 4
Sets of 3
Sets of 2
Sets of 1
The display value is only the first two so it can show two players for example on 2.1 but one will be first

Thanks for the post and the explanations. But in this case, how
Central Preserve is 8.10?
Where is that 10?

The 8.10:
With the Ringtailed Lemur in the center, there are 8 tiles around it and 10 around those 8. (Same with the double-landscape as center tile.)

Oh! Thanks! Now I get it.
But for the double landscape isn't 9? 6 on the right and 3 on the left of the 8 tiles?
