Table Names

It would be nice if tables could be given names to tell them apart. They don't need to be visible to others but just so that it's easiert to find a table instead of guessing based on progress or using workarounds like browser bookmarks.

Each table has a unique number. It can be used.

It's not directly displayed in the overview though and not very memorizable.

Tables already have a "name" in the sense that they show you who your opponent in that table is. Seems like that's easier to remember than coming up with names for tables and having to remember those too.
There are some cases where you'll be facing the same player across different tables, so that could be useful. I think generally it would be helpful to have the name of the tournament show, which was the case at some point, but for some reason they removed it.
It could be a toggle too, so that the people who find it annoying don't have to see it.

I often play with the same friends multiple tables of the same game over a couple of weeks and it is really annoying to find the right table.

You can write a note, and it will pop up whenever you open that table.

I do not believe that will continue to be the case after the game ends.

Notes usually keep showing after a game ended. You can even see other people's notes sometimes when you watch their replays.
That said, I don't see how that would help OP. They probably want to know what the table is before they click on it.

Yes, opening tables until I found the right one is exactly what I try to avoid.
