Rule or bug?

I was curious why I can't add single cards to another players pile if I have multiple ? Eg. I have two 5s and there is a set of four 5s on the table. I want to add just one but my move is blocked. Does anyone know why?

I'm not sure your example is even possible given the distribution of card ranks in the game. But here is the relevant rule from the rulebook (and it's also mentioned in the tutorial):
If, by adding your card to a set, it now has the same size as another set on the table, the value of the set you are adding to must be greater than the value of the other set.
So if you have two 2s and there is a set of two 2s on the table and a set of three 4s on the table, you cannot add just a single 2 to the set of 2s, because you would be creating a set of three 2s which is smaller than another set of the same size currently on the table.
