I love the implementation of the game, it runs great, the only problem is that i'm currently unbeaten. 5 wins in a row, only because not a single game reached the end. There should be a harsher penalty for leaving a game of twilight imperium, or some kind of other solution.

You should choose better game partners.

i had the same. on 3rd game but we're actually past the 1st round now so i'm hopefull!

talking with everyone about setting up phone notifications was helpful and putting chats in chat so they're getting some sort of notice.

well it might be interesting to get to 100 without ever even finishing a game.. 7 straight games so i'm getting there

Amazingly it looks like my last 5-6 games finished with no quitters.

If people are quitting with no warning, I definitely encourage giving them a personal red thumb so can avoid playing with them again. If people are just getting busy, that is another matter. If I start a real time game and people want to vote it into turn-based mode after a few hours, that is fair to me.
