Did ELO points for game changed?

Did something recently changed in The Gang ELO points for game?
I just saw player that has average status without 100 wins. Something that is impossible with ELO point getting that was implemented from game start (i refuse to call that ranking because it is not) .

Anyone know something about that? Or maybe that is one of many BGA bugs?

EDIT: Ok. Its confirmed. Something has changed, it looks like you can even lose ELO. Still I don't see any announcement about that. Change looks big, and that kind a change should have announcement.

I thought the way ELO works for coop games is you can only gain by winning, but never lose elo for losing? This game is really stingy with ELO. I think you only get a few points per win. I'm not even sure if there's an adjustment for number of players. The game is way harder with 6 than with 4. I'm not sure if there's an adjustment for advanced mode.

I have a pretty high winrate, but still show up as "apprentice" (below 100 elo).

Many think that and many are wrong. All depends on game. There is no standard, and that is problem.

Cooperative games needs, and deserves to have normal ELO/ranking system, and there are games that are examples that it can be done.

I agree, good ranking system should take into consideration number of players, game difficult level, team mates skill level. That's just basics.

Be happy that it had changed. With new system if you are good, you will get average fast. Before you had to have 100 proper wins to get there. Now I saw people that get to average in half that wins.

The "correct" way to do ELO is to have each difficulty setting have its own elo target. Example: winning a 4 player base game is like beating a 200 elo opponent. 5 players is 250 elo, 6 players is 300 elo. Advanced mode is +100 elo, professional mode is +200 elo. I guess there should also be some way to figure out your "team elo"? I.e., winning with low rated teammates is more impressive than winning with highly rated teammates?

Yes. I agree with all you said. Unfortunately BGA staff and game developers (most of them) aren't interested, they prefer to treat cooperative games as games for stupid kids, that doesn't deserve rating at all. Even simple one you proposed.

I voiced that in many topics, I have formal proposal too, with some support from other players, but no actual contribution from BGA or developers.
And in this case BGA staff member claims that was mistake upon game release, so they canceled that. A mistake that no one in 49 days noticed and reported.

So my hope for some normality was brutally killed today. :( :x

Even that this "mistake" (and coop games that probably have that ranking working on BGA) prove it can be done, and its not that hard.
