Dear players,

The publisher decided to make some changes regarding the available content on BGA, please read this BGG thread :
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/373535 ... earena-bga
In short : no more map pack 1 and mandatory alternative maps.

Have fun playing !

Why do they announce BGA changes on BGG?

Hi,
Do we know how long these restrictions on map packs are going to last?

This is really disappointing... I never use the variant maps, because I want to play the version of the game I physically own just without the timely and space consuming set up.

Reconsidering my premium account based on these changes. I literally only use BGA to avoid the set up of Ark Nova's hundreds of pieces, but if I can't even play the actual game, what's the point? I'd rather set it up in a corner somewhere and not pay to have restrictions imposed on myself.

There's no reason given for this at all? How disrespectful. I hope the community backlash is swift and immediate.

The backlash will pale in comparison to people who are upset that these horribly unbalanced maps are making Ark Nova worse.

Now what they REALLY need to do is release these alternate map packs for Physical. Because the originals are horribly unbalanced and many are easily broken.

They have an ongoing gamefound campaign that has them.

I did this by my self. Used screenshots from BGA and thick and dense paper 200g/m².
If you have no printer (DIN A3) there are copyshops out there. But check the scale before printing all of them.
It is pretty nice to have the same map for all players in your physical Box! :D

This is BS! Map 10 is my go-to and taking it away has destroyed any desire I had to play Ark Nova at all, even solo. It was bad enough dealing with all the people who played with that OP Map 3, now it's not even an option!
