Hi everyone,
I’d like to propose a simple alternative way to play that flips the usual scoring system: the player with the lowest total score at the end of the game wins.
All standard rules remain the same, the only difference is that face-down cards are worth 10 points each at the end of the game instead of 0.

At the end of the game the player with the lowest total score wins. In case of a tie, the winner is the player with the fewest coins.

I already tried this irl and I think this brings some variety to the game. Curious to hear your thoughts

At the end, are you forced to put money on satchels?

Need a name for it, like 7 blunders.

Correct at the end you need to put the money so sachtels are strong if you manage to spend everything

Some people have played games like that, but it's better to do it in friendly mode since the site could see it as anti-play to lose on purpose. Plus, you probably want to protect your Elo from falling down.

Yeah it would be cool to have an actual rule update with the next expansion in order to have it as part of the game

Yes we've already played some amical game like that (with some famous guys around like Ellektra, Marius Br4hms and GoldenJuju !)
It's fun to try ! You need to add additionnal rules like are you forced to take a card when you can or how many cards are you allowed to flip over to prevent misuse.

We also played two other "side" rules : the winner is the one with the biggest amount of money and the winner is the closest one to 30 points

ps : I really like the idea to find a name for those versions ^^
"Castle Dumbo" is my choice
