Board Game Arena

It happens to me all the time, I set a table, people join, and one of them cancels before we start.
I set up a new game, the same player joins again an cancels.

Usually I block them after the second time, but then it's a new player that does exactly the same. Sometimes I spend like 10min trying to play Azul, and finally I switch to another game because it's really annoying.

Is there something wrong with the settings specifically in this Game? Are people not aware they can set their preferred options so they dont join every possible table that opens?

Should have a maximum times that you can refuse to play a game .

Yes. People are not aware. You've met humans, right? Many of them choose the lowest effort way of doing things, so if BGA gives them an option to click a button without thinking about anything else, that type of person will just do that.

Board game cancels me over and over. I have signed up to join a game and they keep cancelling. Is it because I'm not a member yet?

That's not very charitable. It would be one thing if BGA had an FAQ explaining how the interface works, but they never have. I don't use the single-game lobby to start games, as one can guess from my signature. But if I did there's no indication that the door symbol to the right of the number of players is actually a settings menu. I mean, who thought of that icon? Why not use the gear icon that has been used for decades to indicate access to a settings menu (including on other BGA pages)?

Some people are not curious by nature and never click on random icons to see what they do. That doesn't make them thick.
