In principle, groups are a good way for people to play a game with others who share the same play style. The problem is that, in the beginning, a group has few members, so games restricted to the group take a long time to get started.

It would be nice if games restricted to public groups could also be listed with the other games waiting to start. Before you could join the game, BGA would show you the About section of the group, and you would have to agree to become a member of the group. There's probably some groups you would want no part of, so you would probably want an option to not see games from that group anymore.

This idea could also work for tournaments that are restricted to a group.

It's likely that there would be some people that would join groups for which they are a poor fit just to play the game, and this would require extra work from the group's admins to later remove them. Can players join groups again after they are removed by an admin? It's possible that some groups might choose to become invite-only once they get big enough.
