Board Game Arena

It's very easy to get a table going on BGA if the game is well known and/or in its first few weeks on the platform.
Unfortunately, this is not true for lots of other good games that are quite difficult to discover (if you don't know they are implemented or you don't want to scroll a very long list), making a new turn based game almost impossible to start in a timely manner, let alone a real time one.


Could a weekly/monthly/seasonal selection of "good old games" be useful in order to bring BGA older games to players' attention?
Maybe linking it to a specific achievement, like Arena but just for playing games in the selection, could work as an incentive to play new games.

There are about 1500 games on BGA for now. I wonder how you would choose "good old games" or "games that don't get the love they deserve" out of them? (And already these two categories differ in some ways.)

As for discovering unknown games, you may use the randomizer offered at the bottom of the multisearch bar. You can also filter the games page https://boardgamearena.com/gamelist looking for e. g. topics or mechanics you are especially interested in.

And remember: In order to find a realtime table in a not so popular game, you may click the bell icon on the game page and get a notification if someone wants to play it.
