Looking over your post history, it seems like you might benefit from some relaxation away from BGA. You seem very tense and extremely unhappy in life.

As you've alluded to, the elo isn't going to change, no matter how many new threads you make. When you've exhausted other options, sometimes acceptance is the path to happiness.

Best wishes.

It seems a bit unrealistic to expect every possible combination of things to be a mode. With that said, I agree that penalties should be possible in friendly mode. Just because people want to play a game with no stakes doesn't mean they are okay with other people feeling free to do whatever.

I feel sorry for your question mark key. What did it ever do to you?

What is a "useless Elo number dump"? If you think Elo is useless you could just ... ignore it? I bet I could even come up with some CSS, if you're interested, that would hide it entirely from you.

And what sort of "penalties" do you want to have added to friendship mode, or to your friendship-like mode?

What on earth are you saying?

You want "professional mode" ( ???) but without Elo.
But you also want friendly mode with penalties?

What?

OP probably wants to be able to play real serious competition without being bothered by something as trivial as ELO...

To be fair, Arena games do hide your and your opponent's ELO (although that's probably done for different reasons).

You are too kind. The actual explanation is, OP is off his meds and needs help.

Real competition without Elo? Why? Why would someone who wants "real competition" care about Elo one way or the other?

I only play turn based, so My arena games start unexpectedly and randomly. But the opponent's Elo is not hidden; as soon as the game starts, I check the player's profile to see that opponent's Elo.

Yeah of course, I mean that it's not shown in game (or even on the table page). I've always wondered what the reason was for that.

I don't always check. Sometimes I feel maybe it's better not to know. Like if they are low rated, it may make me underestimate them, and if they are high rated, I may become overly cautious and start playing differently.

This exact topic has been made numerous times before. It sounds like they want to play real games but w/ karma penalties to discourage players from either quitting non rank games or taking extended periods of time per move because friendlies have no clock.

If you don't care about ELO which I assume is the point of such a mode, why can't you just ignore it?

You can't have friendly mode in its current form enforce penalties, given it gets used for games that are bugged in Alpha etc. So you'd have to create a separate mode, that I can't see being that popular, because you can just pay no attention to ELO already.
