Random arena error for Bang!

Does anybody know what this error is about? The bug has been reported over 1 year ago and nobody has done anything about it. It happens randomly only for Bang! in the arena.

I can confirm I sometimes get that as well for a handful of attempts at a new game in a row before it randomly works.
Do you have the bug report? I can't find it to upvote.
