Board Game Arena

Can anyone explain how the solo mode works on BGA? I played once solo and enjoyed it, but toward the end of the game I wanted to drag it out and bump my marketing and accumulate trees rather than place the final game on my shelf. Is there something that is balancing my score versus how many turns I took? There was no official solo mode in the rule book.
