Good solo games?

Can anyone recommend some of the games on this site that play well solo? I'm planning to create a account for my son, and I'd like him to be able to play some games to get used to the interface and/or familiarize himself with the gameplay before jumping into games with other humans.

Also, there are times my brother takes a while to get around to taking his turns, and I feel like playing something by myself for a bit.

Thanks!

You can filter the game list to those games that support 1 player: https://boardgamearena.com/gamelist?players=1

I cannot vouch for how good they are for your needs, especially since i don't know how old your son is...

Are these games ? Just solo. Or games that have a solo mode which helps to learn the game ,but also has 2 or more players.

Next Station London is a fun, short, simple game that can be played alone or with others. I would guess suitable for kids 8+ maybe

The UI can differ a lot between different games. A better way to get your son accustomed to the UI might be to play hotseat mode (which should be available to you since it looks like you have premium membership) and then you can sit with him and explain anything he doesn't understand. That said, you could also just setup Friendly games without time limits and let him play at his own pace turn-based.

My kids (10 and almost 7) love Takenokolor IRL, and we've played hotseat mode with them a few times too. They had very little trouble adapting to the online UI. We've been planning to play some other games with them, but just haven't gotten around to it yet, so I haven't looked too seriously at other options. As others note, it's also hard to know what games might suit your son as you don't mention how old he is.

How old and experienced is your son? I have listed a lot of games for younger children without needing reading skills here: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24788
