Question about the brake

When the wind is -3 and you do not activate you brakes on 2, is it a lose then when you speed is lower than 3 ?

You have to activate the brakes at least to level 2, otherwise you crash. If you do not activate the brakes, they are not between 1 and 2 (as one might assume by looking at the marker) but the brakes are inactive. Even with negative speed or speed 0 or 1 you would crash.
