Conceding Late in Game

My partner and I have both experienced a large number of opponents conceding late into the final round. This is extremely frustrating after spending half an hour building up a board and wanting to see your final score.
The opponent still takes the loss but they get no negative karma. I find this to be a very passive aggressive behavior and I wish there was a way to punish or prevent it. For now I'm just blocking players who do it.
Have others experienced this? Do you think it's fair play? Genuinely curious to hear the opinions of others on this.

I have experienced this a couple of times. Even in some games my opponent would chat to me saying that they want me to just pass so they can concede faster. This game tends to snowball quickly especially if there is a big difference in luck or skill.
Although it is annoying when this happens you can think about it from the other person's point of view, They have been unlucky for half an hour and they don't want to spend another 5-10 minutes just to watch the opponent build up their board nicely. I'm glad this happens in a minority of my games but when it does happen I try not to dwell on it. The only thing that it would affect is the average statistics page. I think it is fair play

It bums me out so much when people do this. Even when I'm losing the fun of the game is the puzzle of it all. If you get one move away from finishing and your opponent concedes then you don't get the final tally. I wish it would at least still score the game. All that work for nothing if the other player just gives up. And it's the folks who do it over and over again that really cause the problems. Especially in Arena, because you can't just opt not to play with someone who has burned you before.

I understand conceding if it's a landslide by the end of the second round or even a bit into the third. The issue is this has happened exclusively in the fourth round. What really gets me is that they could just pass and then leave. That would let me finish out my round and has the same net effect for them.

It happened to me a couple times. Yesterday I even calculated the final score manually to get satisfaction of a finished game.
