Hello, I just want to have a debate about the luck factor of this game. I just lost a game when I had 200 elo against a beginner because I saw a single 6 during all the game, no matter how many times I draft I did not get any 6s, so this gives him an advantage of 3-4 points during all the game... what do u expect me do do in this type of situations?

Yes any game that involves drawing cards is going to have a luck factor. There will be the potential for especially unlucky games.

However, this game does have some ways to mitigate luck (e.g. leading with drafting from the market is riskier than following because it will reveal new cards for your opponent).

Once it is two equally skilled players who don't make mistakes luck becomes more apparent because it is all that remains. This is the case with most games with any sort of card draw or other random element.

A "beginner" on BGA does not mean they have not played the game before, nor that they are not skilled at the game. It just means they have not played it very much on BGA yet.

You shouldn't treat ELO as "this rating means you shouldn't ever lose a match against a player below X ELO", otherwise what is the point in even having the match?

The main point was about never seeing any level 6 cards, although I see how the bit about the opponent's ELO could be distracting from that point.

First off, if you're losing 3-1 in the shown 6s battle, it's only a 2 point opponent advantage, and at that point you probably have an advantage in other area(s) of the game.

Secondly, you did not lose that game because you only saw one 6. You lost that game because you drafted FOUR times at level 4 vs opponent level 6 instead of other actions which would've led to more points.

I mean... in a game where you need 7 points to win, I think being in a constant disavantage of 2 points (1/3 of needed) just for not getting the right cards after drawing multiple times...

Why do you feel sixes are so important?
PLenty of my game end without all 4 skills being ascended to 6th level.
If you know you have lost a certain race for highest on one of the skill cut your losses and let it go.
No use trying to find the cards to maybe overtake your opponent.

And sixes are nice for payment of the red action, but a 5 isnt that much worse.
And there are Tarot cards that let you pitch 2's as sixes.

I'd say the luck factor of having 2's in starting hand or not is much more impactfull.
Especially if you are not starting player and opponent grabs the 2's on display.

I just played a game against a top 10 player and I did not see a single 5 or 6 during all the game, I drafted several times and I did not get any 5s or 6s, my opponent played two 6s so this gives them an advantage of 2 points during all the game... what do u expect me do do in this type of situations?
