Board Game Arena

Seems like the game board itself is a relatively low res scanned image of the actual board, which compared to other rendered pieces on top stands out as pretty ugly. The city names and the restrictions on building types are the most obvious ones that are just weird to look at.
I don't know if it's just a me problem, or if there's a setting for that?
