The Long Night Tournament Series

After a successful debut, I want to turn The Long Night into a staple for us Cosmoctopus players. Thank you to everyone who played in the first iteration!

My goal with The Long Night is to create a competitive space outside of the Arena grind that also allows players of many different skill levels to compete, learn, and grow. Long turn timers gives everyone time to carefully consider their moves, or take a short break if they aren't able to access the internet a few days. It also allows players from more time zones to play equally.

My vision is for the Long Night to continue being a 1v1 standard-layout format. A swiss group stage to give everyone ample games against multiple opponents, followed by a single-elimination bracket to crown the ultimate winner of each tourney.

Each tournament will be named after a card in the game, so that if you win the tournament, you can kinda "claim" that card as your own!

Here is a list of all previous winners, starting with the most recent.

And here I advertise that the second iteration of The Long Night is open for registration: Nameless Nightmare https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=592498

We're open to 32 participants this time. If we fill up, I'll bump up the max participation limit in the next iteration.

Happy Summoning!
