Game Mode?

What is the difference between "Basic Mode" and "Score Mode"? I couldn't find any mention or documentation anywhere, perhaps I just missed it. Thanks in advance for any help.

It is probably the Score-Based Play detailed at the bottom of page 4 in the rulebook.

It is explained in the rulebook:
Base mode:
For each line, the player who forms the highest-ranking poker hand earns 1 point.
Add bonus points from mission cards.
Score-based play:
Score each line based on the hand formed:
One Pair - 1 point
Two Pair - 2 points
Three of a Kind - 3 points
Straight - 5 points
Flush - 6 points
Full House - 8 points
Four of a Kind - 10 points Straight Flush - 12 points
