an extra symbol for the 1st ranked player

From some very old gaming sites over 20 years ago, I know there were symbols next to player names, which made the whole experience more intriguing.
One element was different colored shapes, representing the player's strength. BGA does this with Elo numbers in differently colored backgrounds.
That other element was a crown, showing the highest ranked player. BGA does not have something like this.
I feel a small crown, or similar symbol, next to the 1st ranked players name (especially including in-game), is a simple but very effective feature.
- it is an additional information, quickly showing the highest ranked player and what Elo is required for it
- it highlights the 1st place, being the maximum achievement
- it is an additional small reward and/or incentive
- I think it simply looks very nice and adds a lot of charm; filling something that was missing
