Tier list after 1000 games

S: Golem, Mordred
A: Mama Brigit, The Wild Bunch, Joanne
B: Milady
C: The Fey Folk, Shing Shih
D: Shango, Mephisto
E: Bödvar, Wong Fei Hung
Even though Mordred has a better deck on his own, I think the Golem is better than him.
The Golem has much better synergies with healers, which make him nearly invincible.
He has the advantage of making otherwise mediocre characters, such as The Fey Folk, Shango, or Bödvar, perform well.
Mordred will much more often end up with a fragile teammate who puts the team at risk.

Great tier list! Reminds me a lot of Hivemind's one, definitely check it out if you haven't. He did some extensive work.
Any favorite duos?

Thanks for sharing the list! It's always fun to see people's thoughts about the game. I'd love to hear your opinions about the rest of your list beyond tier S. The one that interests me the most is The Wild Bunch. They are probably the most complicated fighter to evaluate as they have so many weird mechanics (partner +1 starting power, +2 power card, 3 cards that attack the other opponent, a health bar that is bad vs small damage but good with small heal, and they ramp your opponent). You have them in A tier -- what are the partners/opponents you like them with/against?

I have a thousand games under my belt, and my take is that Golem is so easy to play against. he is killing himself gently,Little by little. I don't need to make an effort, just play defensively. And its synergy with the bad fighters even conveys the illusion that they are good. But they aren't.

Hey Coust, it's always great to get an experienced player's opinion. Especially one who has been doing well on the ladder.
I find Golem to be very hard to deal with without Bridgit.
What are your fav defensive fighters to deal with his comps? Mordred/Milady/Joan? I always feel like they are slow and quite weak to Golem+Bodvar/Shango.
And that's not even taking in account Golem+Wild Bunch!

I think the Wild Bunch is excellent.
As long as he gets protection from his partner (Joanne, Golem). He has the best scaling speed in the game, but above all, he has the ability to attack a character the opposing player is trying to protect by not playing any of their cards.
It’s still vulnerable to characters who strike right from the start, especially if it gets attacked on the very first turn. Against a Brijit + Shing combo, it doesn’t stand a chance.

I thought so too, until I kept losing over and over again to a good Golem player.

Well i dont mind being slow against golem. again : he is killing himself. I will just pay particular attention to its X2 card. because an attack after this one would be fatal. to conclude, Yes, I think the three you mentioned are very effective against him. along with WB, Brigit, shing Shih.

Mibola, can I ask why Wong Fei Hung is in E-tier? Honestly, for me, he’s one of the best support characters, usually a pick or ban in my book, so what makes you rank him so low? Also, does anyone have any tips on how to play Shango effectively? No matter how much I use him, I just can't seem to get the hang of the character.
