Do I lose karma if I am in a SOLOgame and have to end it for any reason?

No worries! In all games I know on BGA, you can play solo only in "friendly mode", which allows you to end it at any time without penalty. Or you can switch the game to turn-based via the hamburger menu at the top right corner, which allows you to continue later (within 40 days).

I'm not sure what happens if you explicitly quit such game, but you can always concede, or stop playing (possibly after switching to turn-based).

In my experience you don't lose karma when you quit a solo game that's not being played in friendly mode. That was a while ago, so I just checked with Orchard and while the closed table still has the usual message written on it about getting a penalty, my karma didn't change.
