Chess really needs a resign option, so that players don't have to play to the bitter end when it's a foregone conclusion.

There is a concede game option when you click the exit sign in the upper right corner.

Just to clarify where to get to it: In the upper right, there is an icon of an arrow away from a rectangle. This is the "leave table" icon. When clicked, it pops up a menu with options to leave the game. Concede (no leave penalty) is one of the options there.
