Board Game Arena

Hi everyone,

Pieces on the board are now arranged by a new algorithm, active by default for all players:

- pieces of the same type are grouped together, with a small gap between types;
- the groups spread over the space according to the room available;
- every piece stays visible: in small spaces (Malta, Crete, Cyprus, Gibraltar...), pieces spill over a little instead of piling up on top of each other;
- pieces of neighbouring spaces avoid covering each other;
- when friendly nations share a space, their pieces are sorted by nation within each type instead of being mixed.

If you prefer the previous layout, you can go back to it at any time: in the game preferences (same menu as "Animation speed"), set "Pieces layout" to "Classic". The change applies immediately, no reload needed.

If you do switch back, please tell us why: reply to this post, write in the game's group, or send a suggestion through BGA's suggestion system. Knowing what bothers you is the best way to improve the new layout.
