Reporting Profile Comment Questions

Is there a way for someone to report a comment they choose to delete? It occurs to me that since users can delete comments on their profile, if someone posted something severe, would the user be forced to leave it on their profile for as long as it would take to get a moderator to see it or be unable to report the comment since they deleted it?

If they have something offensive written, I can't imagine they'd be pressured to keep it up. That would just result in more people seeing the 'severe' comment.

Can the mods see previous comments and moderate based on what used to be there?

I have no real knowledge of BGA behind the scenes but I would hope that taking a screenshot of the offensive comment and including it with the report is sufficient evidence. Then it could be deleted from your profile. It's not really reasonable to expect someone to leave an offensive comment on their profile until a moderator has time to look into it - in most places taking a screenshot before deleting would be enough so I hope that would be the case here too.

Well, it's likely that forum comments are saved at least for some time, since they seem to go through some kind of moderation process when you decide to delete them.

The things you write in game chat can also be read if you go to the game's page and click the chat box. That doesn't seem to work for older games though, so maybe it's something they implemented recently.

As for what is written on your profile, I don't know if this gets saved somewhere, but given the two cases above, it's possible that it is.
