How do we know if our reports of players are "bad?"

When reporting a player, there is a warning that basically says, if you report incorrectly you can be punished. I think I also saw one once that said if you keep getting rejected, you can be banned from making reports.

I think that's great and perfectly fair, because we don't want a flood of arbitrary/frivolous reports bogging down the system.

However, there is no response that is received when you submit a report. It just goes away with no feedback, no "agree/disagree/insufficient evidence." So how are we supposed to know if we're submitting reports that aren't up to spec or are bad/punishable.

Is there any way to find out if we're submitting bad reports? I assume "insufficient evidence" isn't frivolous or bad, just... Not enough and not punishable. But some kind of feedback would be great, so I know if I should give up or keep collecting. Also don't want to keep going, if it's gonna get me punished.

They would probably notify you in this case. Like, if your report ends up being considered invalid through no fault of your own (suspicion was reasonable, but they couldn't find enough evidence) then you would be fine and you would never know about it (since they don't disclose how the cases go down).

Only if you reported in a way they deem abusive, then in that exceptional case they would let you know that the case is invalid and that you may receive a punishment (or maybe a warning, not sure how it works exactly).
