Florenza: Rules from the expansion

Should be possible to use in the base game the updated rules from the expansion?
We are using them in our (live) tournaments and they're working quite well...
1) When a player wants to perform the "Search for Inspiration" action, he draws 3 cards and must keep one. The card he choses can be immediately played (the cost must be paid normally) or kept in hand. The remaining 2 cards go to the discard pile
2) During "Phase 2: draw Florenza cards", and in any other moment of the game, if there are not enough cards to give all the players the cards they must draw, reshuffle the deck with the discard pile.
