A new way of cheating

Hi guys, I've just been playing 6nimmt against 8 and I was winning, I only had to wait for a player to choose the a row and the game would have finished there. But instead, he ran out of time, he was skipped and everyone of us were winners!!! Some of the players were given ELO bonification but in my case I was given 0!!!! I'm so upset ... It's not fair at all, the game was at 99%, only a movement left for finishing it

I'm making a big effort to reach the Expert category and I had to be given a very huge ELO score here because I was playing against good players. Instead of that, I'm at the same point but much more angry

I should be given a 99% of the score that I would have been given if the game had finished. Aaaaargggghhhh!!!

Yeah, I'm actually pretty worried about this scenario. Can you actually lose ELO if you're playing a game with many lower-level players and one of them quits early?

No.

You are, but as everyone-but-one are 1st you got zero. But even when there is one move left, we can't be sure who will be 1st, so we are forced to make everyone first.

I can understand that, in general, you can't determine who's the winner. However, I think you make everyone win because it's the easiest way to determine it. Of course, you could give a weighted score depending on the progress of the game and the score at that point. I know that this system wouldn't be perfect but much more fair than the current one. In my humble opinion, the situation makes the system really weak and bad losers can exploit it easily. It's really disappointing see how you can't score ELO because some player is running out of time on purpose at the very end of the game.
