Is it always this bad?

I registered here a few days ago, eager to play some games that exists here and not on other sites I play at.

But now, I'm getting tired of the countless errors. There have been MANY more errors here in a few days than in 2 years (500+ games) at BAJ, and 1 year (1500+ games) at Yucata combined.

Among those:

- When I played Live, I spent more time refreshing the page than thinking about my moves because I lost contact to the server all the time.
- The game says it's my turn, but when I enter the game, it's not.
- I cannot even make a move in a game of In the Year of the Dragon, even though that bug was reported months ago.

So, do I have extremely bad luck, or is this typical?

No, it was working quite good until recently.

But this is true that there have been a lot of bugs these last days:
- many error messages - sometimes, i have to repeat the same move 4-5 times until it is taken into account
- the server also calls me to game tables although it is not my turn
- moves by other players, which i could see on the screen, are cancelled (the game steps back by one move) and it seems to me that this generates the behaviour mentioned above (the server sends me to the table but it not my turn)

I suspect this is related to a major upgrade that was planned recently. I am sure the admins are working to fix this.

I'd say there are good and bad stretches, but this is definitely one of the worse ones. I have four games that say it's my move and then when I go to the game it says it's a different player's turn.

The notification bar has been giving me a new error in the past week or two (when you make a move but it says "TIMEOUT" and says that it didn't register).

I happily pay the subscription fee to this site because there are so many great games and so many great players on here. The admins are generally responsive to stuff like this so I trust they're working on it. Honestly, if it would increase reliability, I wouldn't mind them increasing the subscription price or adding more features to entice more people to pay for the premium. I know that's a tricky balance on a free-to-play site, but I just hope they can have the money for server improvements and hiring an additional developer or two down the road.

I just paid my subscription in order to help the website and the administrators to solve the TimeOut problem...

I hope it will be fine. I know it is holidays in many places now, so maybe we have to be patient this summer.

I know the BGA team have been working hard for months to make major improvements to the website. I dunno how long they will be working on these, but the result is great. This comes along with servers going through a few hiccups during the process. Might take another few weeks, but this site is great.

I keep getting an invalid URL page when I start a game. Then I have to quit and it's costing me ELO points everytime and angering my opponents who think I am just quitting the game. :x
