After 2 years?

Hello BGA community I am having a minor bummer of a situation and I am hoping someone can help to shed some light on it. After playing thousands of games on BGA for 2 years and accumulating some ELO ratings I was rather proud of I have been permanently banned because of my username. I was never asked to change my name of notified it was offensive- just banned for life and all game history gone with it. I have supported BGA financially about 50% of the time I have been playing in order to see the ratings of myself and others and always felt like BGA was a site worth helping out for the entertainment they give me by playing many of my favorite board games as well as giving me the opportunity to try new ones before adding them to my home collection. My username (I will not post it) had the potential to be construed in the wrong way and I did have several conversations about it all of them leading to the conclusion that I was a Bass player and the only slapping I do is of the strings on said Bass. Some people I played with even figured this out without me telling them (the geniuses!) which also lead to a little bit of non game related conversation. I feel as a long time BGA player and supporter that I could have been approached in a reasonable manner and asked to change my username. I have a great gaming reputation, 900 green thumbs up to 9 red thumbs down so clearly I am easy to play with and an asset to the gaming community. So can I have my gaming history back and move a new name to it? I look forward to any answer BGA administration can give. Thanks
