Penalty for Quitters

One of the best features that makes this site so wonderful is the ability to restrict games based on quit and thumb percentages. However, even the best of us may still sometimes have to play with a potentially risky player in a game created by someone else, especially when in a crunch for time. This can leave us burned by a quit right near the end of the game, as I am sure we have all experienced.

In the BGA grading system, some people are brand new "mortals," and the rest are "angels," essentially. I have yet to meet anyone of any other grade. To me, the denotation of even the most heinous quitters as angelic in any way isn't ideal. If seraphs were able to denote a larger portion of the population that sometimes ruins games for the rest of us as a different rank, without necessarily disciplining it, perhaps the quitters would realize the disservice they are causing to the greater gaming community. I know the stats are there for us to see, but I feel that this grade change might give a nice red flag to other friendly gamers as well.

Not a criticism of the current system by any means, just a suggestion.

The deity status (angel, seraph, devilkin, etc.) I don't believe is a reflection of game play. I believe it is simply a matter of one's privileges in chat. Mortals haven't earned any rights, devilkin have shown they can't handle speaking publicly. Of course, I could be wrong on this.
