Making a formal apology!

Please be patient....

....So a lady was trying to manoeuvre around a car outside my house on her bike, while I was at the end of a game of Hanabi. The woman loses balance, I am watching all of this whilst waiting for my move, she whacks her head off said car (not mine) and I rush out to check she's ok.

She and bike were fine, bag on floor, the usual, I didn't dare point out to her the bigger gap two cars down, I got her back up and away. All in all a good 5 mins of sorting her out, but....timed out of my game. My first infraction of its type :(

Is there any process to contest an infraction? I did want to take a photo of her for evidence, but thought it rude.

And finally my sincere apologies to thibprof54, AngelTing, ptitinstit and arasprincesa for keeping you waiting.

Well...., you did technically time out...
Yes, there are some things more important than finishing a game. I wouldn't worry about one timeout. Play enough games, and the percentage will be too low for people to care.

But, I would recommend that if something like this happens again, take the 10 seconds to type out "Hey, accident outside, gotta go." Most people are more willing to wait if there was some type of reason given before the time runs out, rather than just wondering if you disconnected or got fed up and left.
