Pour le moment, vous ne savez pas qui vous a mis des pouces verts/rouges, et les joueurs à qui vous avez mis des pouces verts/rouges ne le savent pas. Certains joueurs se posent des questions à ce propos (qui m'a mis ces pouces ? pourquoi ?). Nous sommes preneur de votre avis sur la question !

As it is now, you can't know who gave you red/green thumbs (and others players don't know that you gave them a red/green thumb, too). Consequently, some players are wondering why they have a so bad (or so good) reputation. Do you think we should make this information public ? Thank you for your advice.

Some statistics about player's opinions:

• Only 16% of players that played recently on BGA have a bad reputation (more than 10% of red thumbs).
• Only 8% of players that played recently on BGA have a very bad reputation (more than 20% of red thumbs).
• Only 0.3% of players are giving more "red thumbs" than "green thumbs".

Quelques statistiques sur l'opinion des joueurs:

• Seuls 16% des joueurs qui ont joué récemment sur BGA ont une mauvaise réputation (plus de 10% de pouces rouges).

I prefer it to remain hidden (to avoid retributions) / Je prefere que ca reste cache (pour eviter les vengeances)

But it would be good to make public the ratio of green-red thumbs that players give / Mais ca serait bien de rendre public le ratio de pouces verts-rouges donnes par les joueurs.

I agree. Making public the ratio of green-red thumbs would limit significantly the behavior of some can't stop players trying to discourage good players to play the game by giving them red thumbs.

Je suis d'accord. Rendre public le rapport de pouces verts-rouges limiterait le comportement néfaste de certains joureurs de can't stop distribuant des pouces rouges à chaque défaite pour décourager les bons joueurs.

Instead of a public green/red thumb system, I'll vastly prefer a system where, on one hand, I can see who doesn't like to play with me so I don't disturb his table, and where, on the other hand, I can remember players I don't like to play with.
This information doesn't need to be public, just between him and me.
I don't care very much what other people think of a particular player (present system), I want to play once each player and make my own opinion about him.

There would be my ideal system:
- green, orange and red flags for each player I played with (and only them)
- no flag = never played or no opinion
- green = I like to play with him
- orange = this player is not preferred (slow, not very friendly, ...) but I can still play with him
- red = I don't want to play again with him
- a comment box for each player to remember the reason of my rating
- reds would just be shown to the giver and given
- green and oranges could be public but as a total (like the present system), in this case reds would be counted as orange.

With this system, I can see if someone doesn't like to play with me so I don't join his table.
I can tell him (and him only), I don't like to play with him.
I can see the player's general reputation with the green and oranges.
If the player I a gave a red doesn't give me one in return, that's to say "give me another chance" (and vice versa).

Anyway, I would like at least a private comment box on each player I played with so I can track my opinion about him (green or red is to shallow option).

I agree with acocle. Implementing his suggestion would prevent spiteful tit-for-tat retribution while still giving useful general information.
