Troyes: Card Activation vs. Modifier Cubes

I hope this is the correct forum for this post, as it's not a bug.
On my last game (Table n°510297) the Monk activity card was in play. It is activated by white dice, and modifies a white die to form three yellow dice. I had a white die selected, and was attempting to click the modifier cube, but must have accidentally clicked the card instead. As a result, I ended gaining more modifier cubes. It turned out not to be the worst move possible, as I ended up winning the game
, but it was not my intended action. In this case it was totally my fault for mis-clicking. However, I feel that the interface could be improved by increasing the size of the target areas to minimize these kinds of errors.
For example, the illustration area could be used to toggle the use of a modifier cube (if any), and the lower portion of the card can be used to activate the card. Cards that do not have a delayed effect can use the whole card area, or use only the lower portion as well for consistency.
There are some other activity cards, besides Monk, that take the same coloured dice for modification and activation as well.
Granted, I don't think this problem arises all too often, so I don't know if it would be worth the effort.
