Just curious, the new version of TTA was released at Essen this weekend with updates cards and some rules changes.

Will this version be available on here? It seems that this update fixes a lot of common problems and invigorates the game making more strategies possible, it would be great if it was on here.

I would LOVE to see the new version here. I wouldn't hold my breath, though. Apart from a small number of games (Tash-Kalar, Hive, Saboteur, and Seasons come to mind) BGA very rarely updates based on expansions or new editions.

+1 for having the new version (seems more balanced) here (and it's prettier too) !

The game has been completely rebalanced but it is still the same game, so why would it not be updated here?
Could we have an official answer to that?

i have no idea what the official answer is .. but it would likely go something like this:

"it depends on licensing issues as well as dev time and interest. working on new games to add to the site may provide a bigger impact than updating a previous game that is already working well."

Our "official" answer is simple : we don't know. We may have this updated TTA on BGA one day, or not.

Sorry but this is all I can say at now.

Add my name to another that favors updating the rule set here. The revised rules fix some glaring issues to the game.

Our group would love to see an update to this game also!

TTA is almost always at the top of the list of turn-based games being played & this update is a highly acclaimed for addressing some of the core balance issues with the earlier addition.

You could even leave both versions functioning - if the concern is backlash from existing players - TTA 2015 could show up as a 'new game' with a clean ranking slate, etc. Considering the extent of the re-balancing, that probably makes the most sense anyway.

If you want to gauge support or be assured that the paying members are supportive, you could setup a 'campaign' where people donate to pool for this particular update. I'd send my $5!
