how to view final boards

if the game ends on the opponent's turn, i will get an email that takes me to the "Game has ended" page, showing final scores. But how to view the final boards at that point?

The only thing i can find is "replay game" option, but that is obviously a long way to get to it (and the "jump to end of game" button doesn't work anyway - seems it is too busy processing the individual moves), and uses up processing on bga servers.

Is there a direct way?

Unfortunately, not yet.

This has to do with how BGA was implemented. Originally, it was a real-time only site. Players never voluntarily left a table and came back. Therefore, game design has been to set up the initial table, and then modify it a turn at a time. No provision was made to save and load an arbitrary game state.

This has been suggested many times, and the latest I heard it is on the "to do" list of the admins. How high it is on that list is another discussion, though....

yep it would be a great improvment for me although. Knowing how you losed or winned is very useful. Thanks for the answer anyway

an 'end of game' state would be very welcome.

if effort is put towards that, might i also suggest that the final 'scoring' popup in many of the games be able to be broken out into a separate window (like the chat window feature) ?? in some games, the popup MUST be closed before you can view the final game board, so you lose the scoring info. in others, the popup can be slid around but interferes with looking at the final game state.
