Board Game Arena

I am a new player of BGA.
In the last game my opponent did nothing and time was out.
Then my move was skipped and I got penalty.
Why did this damn thing happen and what should I have done ?

always use the F5 / browser refresh after a couple minutes of waiting .. sometimes the timeout is actually on your end but the game interface will show that your opponent is still thinking.
