New page table design

Hello,
We changed the design of the "table" page. It was one of the latest page that was incoherent with the new BGA graphic style, so we had to make it coherent with the rest of the website.
We know that this is not easy to change something you are used to, but beginners was incomfortable with the old design (ex : difficulties to find how to join a game / how to discuss).
Benefits of the new design :
- No more "30 seconds delay" before opening the table to everyone : you can configure the table as long as you want before opening it.
- Options (table configuration) is now on the left, so you don't have to scroll to see players (especially for games with a lot of options).
- +/- buttons to select players number are way bigger.
Don't hesitate to give us your feedback on this.

It took me a while to get used to the new layout of the site, but I appreciate it.
Well done
ps since you are changing design, may I ask you if you'll fix the automatic sorting of games played by a player in his/her page?
That's a minor issue, I know, but it's strange to see the games sorted like when it was possible to mark a game like a favourite or not (with a little heart beside the name of the game), but without the chance to mark/unmark the games again.
So if it's possible take back that feature, or re-initialize the sorting of the games by decreasing number of games played

Thanks for the continued updates. The new design has some nice improvements but I do think this it still needs some work. I would assume this is a bug, but I'm seeing the table configuration options listed twice. In fact, I don't even get to see the player list without scrolling down:

Additionally, I think the number of players selectors are easy to miss at first. Have you considered having numeric text field options in addition to the plus/minus selectors? That way, instead of fiddling with the buttons, you could just type a "2" then tab to the next field and type "5" if you wanted between 2 and 5 players, or whatever. You could still keep the plus and minus buttons as well with that setup, for people that prefer that.

what I want to clarify about what I said...
the game banner at the top if far to big, it takes up 1/3 of the screen, the table configurations need to be below who is actually at the table, if you are a player joining you have no control anyway, so put it below. I want to see who i'm playing, their rating etc not how the tables configured. I just think it looks worse than the last version, looks too stripped back and basic. This site is simply amazing, and I love it, this is a minor complaint but it means you have to go looking for the info instead of it being there as the most important thing! one more thing its hard enough to get a game of Lost Cities as it is without searching for the join buttons new place! put it back on the left!!!
plus where is the list where it tells you how many times a game has been played? I miss that feature!!

The overall size of the page is huge, it won't even fit on my 22" monitor. Plus now we have Table Configuration twice on the page, why? I can't imagine being on a smaller screen, I'd have to scroll up and down just to see it all.

Page layout suggestion:
I assume that it's just a temporary thing that "Table Configuration" is duplicated.
I think that above "Players at this table" should be "Players Around this table".

Of course this was a bug, sorry about that. Please do not take into account the page as it was today.

Hello Admins,
I would like to share some feedbacks on the new interface, based on my own experience and from some other players.
I totally support the need to upgrade current layout, but I am not fully satisfied with the new design. Here are my thoughts:
- hard to see players who had joined in (when there are 3 or more) [
major]
- hard to see players who are looking the table at the moment [minor]
- restriction access to table not intuitive : that should belong to table settings [minor]
- overall layout not optimized (wasted space) : e.g. when I create a table with Colt Express, almost half the screen is wasted (see screenshot below taken at a resolution of 1360x768 without zoom) [
major]
- hard to read the +/- symbols to chose number of players; plus this should belong to the table settings [minor]
- hard to find how to chat on the table [minor]
- lag/freeze with low configuration computers (notebooks, smartphones) : I think it is due to the bottom of the page being updated in real-time with
all tables created

this is not necessary !! [
major]
- not possible to change game settings after game master leaves the table [minor]
New page Table example with Colt Express
Thanks for reading !
Question:
Is the new design mixable with css customization ?

Hi,
Thanks for your comments;
Just to make things clear, here is a before/after comparison (same zoom, same game ....) :
As you can see :
- The first player displayed is UPPER in the page than before.
- Players around tables are way upper than before.
- +/- symbols to choose the number of players are 2.5 bigger than before.
Note that this screen has to be optimized for sure, this is just a first step. In particular, if we want to display more "visible" players on this screen, we have to display some "player summaries" instead of the complete players details. In such a case you'll have to click to see all players details.
