Rotate tiles on tablet

He, is there any trick how to rotate tiles? With the arrows it works to a certain degree but it is far away from perfect.
I would like to place a tile and then rotate it at the EXACT same place (which is not possible at the moment).
It was a pretty frustrating experience and often not possible to place a tile as I wanted to.
Played on Ipad Mini 2021.

I am not sure if it's your tablet the problem or not but I can do that on my phone (iPhone). I click on the hex I want to anchor, then click where I want it placed, and then click on that hex until it rotates to my desired position. Unless I misunderstood what you said?
